Privacy at British Holiday Postcards
British Holiday Postcards has been designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary.
You can browse the Web/PWA version without creating an account, signing in, providing your name or email address, or supplying other personal information.
Information We Collect from Visitors
When you use British Holiday Postcards as an ordinary Web/PWA Visitor, we do not ask you to provide identifying personal information.
There are currently:
- no visitor registration forms;
- no newsletter sign-up;
- no advertising trackers;
- no behavioral analytics;
- no marketing pixels;
- no session-replay systems;
- no user comments, reviews or uploads.
British Holiday Postcards does not currently use cookies for ordinary anonymous Visitor browsing.
Favorites
Visitors may use Favorites while exploring British Holiday Postcards.
Visitor Favorites are held temporarily in the browser for the current visit. They are not associated with your name, email address or an account, and they are not written to the British Holiday Postcards database.
Visitor Favorites may be lost when the page is reloaded, the browser tab is closed, or the current visit ends.
The mobile App may provide persistent Favorites as part of Full Access.
Browser Storage
The Web/PWA version may use limited browser-session storage for normal application functions such as:
- restoring scroll position;
- remembering temporary navigation state;
- supporting application operation during the current browser session.
This information is not intended to identify you.
The current Web/PWA does not use browser storage to create an advertising profile or track you across unrelated websites.
Technical Information
Like most websites and online services, the infrastructure used to deliver British Holiday Postcards may automatically receive ordinary technical information when your browser requests a page or image.
This can include:
- IP address;
- browser or device type;
- user-agent information;
- requested URL;
- date and time of the request.
This information may appear in routine hosting, security, server or diagnostic logs.
It is not information that you actively enter into British Holiday Postcards.
Service Providers
British Holiday Postcards currently relies on service providers to operate the website and deliver its content.
These include infrastructure used for:
- website hosting;
- database and application services;
- postcard image delivery;
- authentication infrastructure retained within the application;
- web fonts.
Google Fonts may receive ordinary technical request information when fonts are delivered to your browser.
Lovable and its associated cloud infrastructure provide hosting, application, database and file-delivery services used by British Holiday Postcards.
We do not use these services to serve targeted advertising to Visitors.
Analytics and Advertising
British Holiday Postcards currently does not use application analytics, advertising networks, behavioral tracking, marketing pixels, heatmaps or session-replay services.
If this changes materially in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated.
Accounts and Legacy Infrastructure
Earlier versions of British Holiday Postcards included account, sign-in, Tester and device-management functionality.
Some underlying technical infrastructure may remain during development and migration, but these features are not part of the normal public Option B Visitor experience.
Ordinary Visitors are not required to create a British Holiday Postcards account.
Purchases and the Mobile App
The Web/PWA version does not currently process payments.
Full Access is intended to be offered through the British Holiday Postcards mobile App using the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play purchasing system.
Apple or Google will process the payment through their respective store systems.
British Holiday Postcards does not need to receive your payment-card details from those stores.
When native purchasing is introduced, British Holiday Postcards may process limited purchase and entitlement information necessary to:
- confirm that Full Access has been purchased;
- determine whether Full Access remains valid;
- restore a previous purchase where supported.
This Privacy Policy will be reviewed and updated when the final native purchasing system is implemented.
Sensitive Information and Device Permissions
British Holiday Postcards does not currently intentionally collect:
- precise location;
- health information;
- payment-card information;
- address-book contacts;
- photographs or user uploads;
- microphone recordings;
- camera recordings;
- biometric information;
- advertising identifiers;
- government identification numbers.
The current application does not request camera, microphone, location or contacts permissions.
Children
British Holiday Postcards does not ask users to provide an age or date of birth and does not create profiles based on age.
The application is a collection inspired by British holiday postcard humour and is not specifically designed as a child-directed service.
Sharing
British Holiday Postcards does not currently operate a server-based postcard-sharing system.
The application does not currently collect or store recipient names, recipient email addresses or personal messages for postcard sharing.
If sharing functionality is introduced later, this policy will be updated where necessary.
Data Retention
For ordinary Web/PWA Visitors, British Holiday Postcards does not create a personal account or persistent Visitor profile.
Temporary browser/session information is removed according to the normal lifetime of the browser session or application state.
Hosting and infrastructure providers may retain ordinary server, security and diagnostic logs according to their own operational and security practices.
Your Choices
You may browse the public Web/PWA version without creating a British Holiday Postcards account.
You may also clear browser data using the controls provided by your browser.
Because ordinary Visitor Favorites are temporary and are not stored as a personal account record, there is normally no BHP Visitor profile to request that we delete.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
British Holiday Postcards may evolve as new features are introduced.
In particular, this Privacy Policy will be reviewed when native Apple and Google purchasing is implemented.
Material changes to the way personal information is handled will be reflected in an updated version of this policy.
