These Terms of Use apply to your use of the British Holiday Postcards website, PWA and mobile application.
By using British Holiday Postcards, you agree to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the service.
About British Holiday Postcards
British Holiday Postcards is a newly created entertainment collection inspired by British holiday culture, humour and imagery of the 1950s and 1960s.
The collection includes fictional characters, newly created dialogue, illustrated scenes and artistic interpretations of the period.
British Holiday Postcards is intended for entertainment and general-interest purposes.
It is not intended to be an historical archive or authoritative historical reference.
Visitor Access
The Web/PWA version may be used as a Visitor without creating a British Holiday Postcards account.
Visitor access may include:
- browsing Topics;
- viewing a selection of postcards;
- previewing additional postcards;
- using temporary Favorites during the current visit.
Visitor features and the number of postcards available without Full Access may change from time to time.
Full Access
Full Access unlocks the complete British Holiday Postcards collection and additional functionality made available through the mobile App.
Full Access is intended to be offered as a one-time purchase with no subscription.
Full Access does not transfer ownership of the postcards, artwork, software or other intellectual property to the purchaser.
It provides a personal licence to use the Full Access features of British Holiday Postcards in accordance with these Terms.
Mobile App Purchases
Purchases made through the British Holiday Postcards mobile App will be processed by the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Payment processing is handled by the relevant store provider.
British Holiday Postcards does not directly receive or process your payment-card details.
Purchase availability, billing, payment confirmation, refunds and certain restoration procedures may also be subject to the terms and policies of Apple or Google.
Restoring Purchases
Where supported by Apple or Google, the App may provide a way to restore a previously purchased Full Access entitlement.
Restoration depends on the purchase information available from the applicable store platform.
Final wording may be refined when native purchasing is implemented.
Favorites
Visitors may be able to use temporary Favorites while browsing.
Visitor Favorites may exist only for the current browsing session and may disappear when the page is reloaded, the tab is closed or the current visit ends.
Full Access in the mobile App is intended to provide persistent Favorites.
British Holiday Postcards does not guarantee that temporary Visitor Favorites will be recoverable.
Personal Use Licence
British Holiday Postcards and its content are provided for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
You may view and use the content through the functionality provided by the application.
Unless expressly permitted, you may not:
- reproduce or redistribute the postcard collection;
- sell or commercially exploit the artwork;
- republish substantial portions of the collection;
- remove copyright or ownership notices;
- use the content to create competing postcard collections or products;
- scrape or systematically extract the postcard collection;
- bypass technical restrictions intended to limit Visitor access;
- attempt to obtain restricted postcard images through unauthorized means.
Intellectual Property
British Holiday Postcards, including its original postcard artwork, dialogue, written content, characters and scenes, branding, application design, graphics and software presentation, is protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual-property rights.
The postcards are newly created works inspired by mid-century British holiday culture.
They should not be assumed to be public-domain reproductions of historical postcards unless specifically identified as such.

Historical and Artistic Interpretation
British Holiday Postcards draws inspiration from Britain in the 1950s and 1960s.
Historical details, fashions, locations, objects and social situations may be simplified, combined or artistically interpreted for visual or comic purposes.
The application does not guarantee that every visual or historical detail is an exact reproduction of a particular time, place or event.
AI-Assisted Production
British Holiday Postcards uses modern AI-assisted tools as part of its illustration, development and production process.
Creative direction, concepts, humour, dialogue, selection, editing and final decisions are human-directed.
The use of AI-assisted production does not alter the usage restrictions or intellectual-property provisions described in these Terms.
Easter Eggs and Additional Features
British Holiday Postcards may contain hidden features, Easter Eggs, animations or other bonus content.
These features are provided for entertainment and may be changed, replaced or removed in future versions of the application.
Availability of the Service
We aim to keep British Holiday Postcards available and functioning properly, but continuous or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- hosting issues;
- internet connectivity;
- store-platform availability;
- technical failures;
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Features and content may also be improved, revised or reorganised over time.
Third-Party Services
British Holiday Postcards relies on third-party services for certain aspects of operation, including hosting, cloud infrastructure, web fonts and, when implemented, mobile App distribution and purchasing.
Use of Apple or Google services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
British Holiday Postcards is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.
Prohibited Use
You must not use British Holiday Postcards to:
- interfere with the operation or security of the service;
- attempt unauthorized access to systems or restricted content;
- introduce malicious software or harmful code;
- impersonate another person;
- abuse or circumvent access controls;
- use automated tools to extract substantial portions of the collection;
- use the service in violation of applicable law.

While reasonable efforts are made to provide an enjoyable and functional experience, the service and its content are provided without a guarantee that every feature will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, British Holiday Postcards and Orbitalbiz are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from the inability to access or use the service.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.

British Holiday Postcards may evolve as features, platforms and purchasing options are introduced.
These Terms may therefore be updated from time to time.
